A black and white bathroom with a view

Our clients live in a barn conversion, and the master bathroom overlooks one of Leicestershire’s premier historic sites. Our brief was to position the bath so the bather could fully enjoy the view.

Incorporating the view meant angling the bath, which led us to create a fully angled design with a pebble floored open shower neatly contained behind an angled centre basin area.

We designed a bespoke double-sided mirror, supported on chrome posts, to enhance the perception of space in the shower area.

The bath, hand cast in polished aluminium with an acrylic interior, has a black granite ‘deck’ at the rear. We also used granite for the WC and bidet boxing tops as well as for the top of the high gloss white basin cabinet.

We reinforced the desired black and white theme by fitting white-veined black natural marble wall tiles and a white polished porcelain floor, laid to underline the angle used to create the design.
